Keeping the Promise

Over the years, generous individuals have established endowed scholarship funds creating a powerful and lasting legacy at Providence College. Whether in honor of a family member, a Dominican Friar, or in gratitude to their parents for the education they received, their commitment is underscored by a deep appreciation for the values of a Catholic, liberal arts education and a commitment to assisting Providence College students with financial need.

The core of the Providence College mission has always been to assist our students with financial need.  The College is grateful to all those generous individuals, corporations, foundations and trusts whose visionary philanthropic commitment has enabled the College to remain true to its mission.

The proceeds from these benefactions is part of the College’s financial aid program.  Scholarship recipients are selected and distributed by the Office of Financial Aid in accordance with the specific criteria for each scholarship. No separate application is necessary. All eligible students will be considered for scholarships for which they qualify and will be notified by the Office of Financial Aid.
