The William D. Ford Federal Direct Stafford Loan, and the Federal Direct Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) programs are administered by the Office of Financial Aid.

The Office of Financial Aid will determine and notify the student of their eligibility for the Direct Loan program each year he or she files a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Parent’s interest in applying for a PLUS loan must submit an additional online application and have their credit eligibility determined by the U.S. Department of Education.

Use the links below to obtain more information about each program. Information about the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program is also available in a Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) format.  Visit our Publications Section to view or print the Direct Stafford Loans FAQ in PDF format.
